Eric Yew our run setter and navigator

Eric has been setting runs with Phang Joe for years before he joined GH5. In fact even as a non member he set many runs for GH5.

One may ask which hash chapter did Eric hail from having set so many runs for hashers. The fact is that though he set many runs for hash clubs including GH5, he didn't join any hash chapters as a member.

One day, Eric came as a guest, and V Power asked me to rope in Eric as a member because of his talent. I approached Eric and he duly obliged to be a member of GH5.

We (Kenny, Kevin, Hulk, Mun Yau, Sonny, Blur Blur, Stumpy and Stiff Stick)  have learnt a lot from Eric in terms of setting runs and navigating in the forest.

Even today, Eric went all out to create a different path for Stumpy's run on Tuesday. He navigates us in the jungle without much words, just occasionally asking us to check the GPS while cutting his way in the jungle with his parang. What is all this YOU LISTEN nonsense as he is a man with minimal words. I would have named him Navigator, No Yew Turn or GPS. If you name a guy on what he is good at, he will strive to be even better and we as a club build on his strength. To build GH5 we must be a builder of men.

To name a man, you must know the man!

Try to get to know everyone in the club, new members and even the guest that we have each week!
