Colostrum is the first milk secreted by the mammary glands of all mammals, after the birth of an infant. It contains powerful antibodies, proteins, antioxidants IgG (immunoglobulins), growth factors, minerals, enzymes, amino acids and essential vitamins.  Commercial colostrums available are usually bovine. Some may be the first milk from goats.
