If one were to judge hashers by the clothes they wear at the runs, nobody would guess that there are any corporate types in their midst. However, when you stumble upon the same people in a different environment, you realize that there is a healthy representation of corporate and professional people in the hashing fraternity.

What then, is the attraction?
The list is long-
Beer (top of the list?), camaraderie, exercise, fresh air and the love of nature, escapism, etc, etc. You can find the above in most other places like gyms and pubs, but I doubt if you will find all of them present in a single activity like we do in hashing.
I often hear comparisons of hashing to golf and my own personal conclusion is that hashing beats golf hands down on many fronts:

2. You meet more people at one go.
3. There is no suffering in the heat!
4. There is anonymity and an egalitarian atmosphere.

The last point particularly appeals to me, as I find in a lot of other social games or events, a person’s social or financial standing is uppermost in peoples' minds. This is probably also the reason why hashers have hash names - so there is no reference to race, religion or one’s social standing.
So guys and gals, to conclude: Hash has it all!
On-On!!
