Run Site
This is the run site (see map below)
We don't know how the Hares manage to get this place, but parking facility was perfect. It's at the school car park! But Baby Monkey gave the guard only a small "Ang Pow", that explains no lighting facility. The circle got to be conducted in total darkness!!

King Trucker showing off his injured leg
Anyway, this is the 1st for GH5. The run site is about 250 metres above sea-level ... it's cooling and air is fresh.

Chit-Chat before the run..
The Run
Wild Boar/Lembek and their grandson .. future GM?
GM V-power was absent with apology. Joint-master, King Trucker who was still limping with an old leg injury sustained a few weeks ago was there to flag the Hashers off. At 6.00pm Wild Boar sounded his horn and about 60 members and guests push themselves up the hill behind the school.

A double-track footpath initially greeted us and then it was into uncharted territory. The trail took us uphill all the way for the next 20 minutes till the top where the Hares laid their 1st check. The front-runners subsequently discovered that it was a back-check.

The paper trail then continued down a very very steep slope. Everyone got to hang on to trees, roots, branches and whatever is available to steady themselves on this descent. Not much vegetation on the ground and the dark sandy soil made it more slippery. PushUp was sliding down on her backside all the way. Yong and Baby Crocodile held on to some vines for support. It was tough but very interesting.

Watch out! Don't hold me!
Ladies on the way to the stream. There's another hill on the other side.
By 6.45pm most of us had reached the stream below and many were seen washing up and taking a short break before continuing their run. As we cross the river, the slope uphill became steeper and steeper. This 2nd hill took about 15 minutes to ascent and thereafter it was downhill all the way till we reached the main road. All-in-all it was a good run ... thanks to the Hares and co-hare!
