The Japanese have a longer life span than any nationality. The average life expectancy is in the mid-eighties. Ours is only 73 years of age. What’s their secret?
Some believe it is due to their high consumption of green tea. Green tea is a rich source of potentially beneficial compounds called catechin. As tea undergoes processing, it loses some of its precious catechins to oxidation. Green tea is very lightly processed, thus retaining more of its catechins than standard tea.
